Manuel Nkosi, better known as Marley Nkosi, was born on April 21, 1987, in Uíge, Angola.

His passion for drawing and painting emerged in his adolescence, having started his incursion into the visual arts through comics. At the request of his father, he studied and obtained his academic training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa, so that he could improve his talent. When he finished, he had the opportunity to participate in some group exhibitions, especially at the Halle de La Gombe, in 2006.

After returning to Angola, he participated in a live collective exhibition at UNAP, a show that included the participation of Bolondo, Cristiano Mangovo, Patrício Mawete, Mumpasi Meso and Adão Mussungo.
