Pedro Masisa

Born on 9 September 1972 in Soyo, Zaire Province, Angola, Masisa is an Angolan visual artist trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa, where he completed his studies in 1997. His practice has been shaped by both academic formation and long-term engagement with the Angolan art scene. He has exhibited widely in Luanda, including at Galeria Escom, Tamar Golan Gallery, and Shopping Avenida, and has participated in major collective exhibitions such as Afrikanizm (2023–2024) and the Ensa Prize.
