Modou Dieng Yacine
Born in Saint-Louis, Senegal, Modou Dieng Yacine studied at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Dakar and holds an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. He lives and works in Chicago, and his work is held in collections including the Studio Museum in Harlem and the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art.
His layered practice across painting, collage, and mixed media investigates identity, migration, and postcolonial memory, transforming surface into a site of reflection on displacement and belonging.
