Boys also deserve flowers 2 by Obilala Nwankwo is a poignant continuation of the artist’s acclaimed series, painted in acrylic on canvas. As a profound statement within Black Art, the work affirms vulnerability, tenderness, and self-worth as essential dimensions of identity and cultural pride.

With vibrant hues and layered textures, Nwankwo reframes masculinity through a lens of softness and dignity. The flowers become both symbol and offering — a recognition of the right to tenderness often denied to Black men. The painting challenges convention while enriching the global narrative of Black Art.

As part of Afrikanizm Art’s curated collection, Boys also deserve flowers 2 is a one-of-a-kind collector’s piece that extends the series’ exploration of identity and resilience. A powerful reminder that Black Art embodies both strength and vulnerability in equal measure.
