In Freedom?, Blackson Afonso questions the very idea of freedom. Kneeling figures marked with the word “free” hold plastic chairs over their heads - symbols of silent oppression.

Classical definitions of freedom appear across their bodies, yet feel empty, fragmented, like pieces of a puzzle that don’t quite fit. The work merges street aesthetics with political reflection, urging us to see freedom not as a given, but as something continually questioned and rebuilt.
