Invitation to Invade IV

This body of work offers a poetic reflection on the environmental wounds caused by plastic pollution — a visual elegy shaped by metaphor and memory. Rooted in the artist’s personal experience growing up in Lagos, where plastic waste is a constant presence, the project transforms discarded materials into evocative artworks that echo a collective longing for renewal.

Through luminous compositions and deliberate imagery, the artist explores the fragile bond between humanity, plastic, and the natural world. Each piece becomes a quiet monument to the weight society places on its ecosystems — a burden that deepens with each neglected decision.
More than a critique, this project is a call — gentle yet urgent — to see, to feel, and to care. It invites reflection, responsibility, and the hope that through greater awareness, we might begin to envision and build a cleaner, more compassionate future.
