Black Mirror IV by Nadia Wamunyu is a profound addition to the artist’s acclaimed series, elevating watercolour into a vivid expression of Black Art. With layered pigments and subtle golden hues, Wamunyu reframes the mirror as a site of cultural reflection, where beauty and resilience converge.

The portrait reveals both fragility and strength, capturing the tension between self-perception and collective identity. Wamunyu’s vision turns watercolour into a language of affirmation, affirming the dignity and brilliance of Black identity within the global continuum of Black Art.
