Twists and Turns I

TWISTS AND TURNS SERIES.
The first two paintings in this series were rendered using Discarded Aluminum Foils, underscoring the importance of waste and junk to Art. The others were executed using oil colour and acrylic paint.

The theme for the series essentially pushes the narrative through the experience and frame of reference of a young man and woman of the struggles they encounter transiting into adulthood and being success in the society. Twists and Turns is the pre-condition for growth and it is unavoidable.

Without going through extended periods of diligent hard-work, sweat and difficulty, a man cannot move beyond his current level of performance. In a sense, lives struggle is a form of training. It prepares us and forces us, to be ready for the next step. Just like our people say "The struggle you're in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow".
