Afrikanizm Art Expands Globally Through Strategic Gallery Partnerships

Afrikanizm Art, founded by João Boavida, has announced a new phase in its global expansion. Through strategic alliances with galleries across the United States, Europe, Africa and Asia, the platform aims to deepen collaboration, visibility, and commercial pathways for African and Afro-diasporic artists.

These gallery partners include well-known names like Alessandro Berni Gallery (New York, USA), Gallery Soview (Accra, Ghana), Lis10 Gallery (Paris, Hong Kong, Arezzo), The EAAE Gallery (Szczecin, Poland), and This Is Not a White Cube (Lisbon / Paris).

Under the agreement, these galleries will be able to promote artworks through Afrikanizm’s online platform, co-host exhibitions, and support artists in reaching international audiences. The collaboration is intended to not only increase sales capacity but also to elevate the artists’ visibility and professional growth.

For Afrikanizm, this move is more than expanding footprint—it’s about building bridges between ecosystems. By linking galleries, collectors, artists, and curators in a shared network, the platform aims to shift narratives and create economies of value around Black art. João Boavida described the partnerships as essential to “professionalize, elevate, and amplify the voices of creators.”

Already representing over 200 artists across 18 African countries, Afrikanizm sees these collaborations as a new chapter—one where its artists gain access to institutional spaces and markets once difficult to penetrate.
