Abias Ilustrator
Manuel Abias António, known in the art world as Abias Ilustrador, was born in Luanda in 2001 and developed a natural aptitude for the arts early on - an interest sparked since childhood by a family portrait created in 1993. Currently completing his studies in Visual Communication Design at IPH, the artist balances his academic training with a professional practice that is already making its mark on the Angolan art scene. His work spans both realistic and surrealist styles to explore themes such as dreams, identity, the construction of the self, and the fragmentation of human experience. Beyond his own artistic output, Abias Ilustrador also works as a curator, having organized exhibitions dedicated to Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí.
