Susan Onyedikachi
Susan Onyedikachi's work is deeply rooted in heritage, memory, and personal identity. Born in Lagos State, Nigeria, and trained at Federal Polytechnic Oko, where she earned a Higher National Diploma in Fine and Applied Arts, her practice began with pencil drawing before evolving into charcoal, acrylic, and oil on canvas. Working primarily through portraiture and figurative painting, she draws on the vibrant cultures of Nigeria, fusing strong African undertones with western influences to explore human emotion and personal identity, seeking work that resonates with both the individual and the collective while honoring her heritage.
