Clement Laryea Martey (b. June 15, 1982, Accra, Ghana), known artistically as C-kle, is a contemporary Ghanaian painter whose vivid impressionist canvases celebrate the colours, textures, and spirit of West Africa. With a career spanning over a decade, C-kle has become known for his bold brushwork and expressive compositions that bridge tradition and modernity.

His journey into art began during secondary school, where he formally studied Visual Arts, focusing on the theoretical foundations of painting and sculpture. However, it was his five-year apprenticeship in Fine Arts and Sculpture Design that would define his visual language — a raw, physical, and emotive style rooted in impressionism, marked by loose, powerful strokes and richly layered textures.

C-kle began exhibiting his work publicly in 2009, introducing audiences to scenes of everyday Ghanaian life — landscapes, portraits, and cultural moments rendered with intensity and warmth. His practice is deeply tied to storytelling and national identity, positioning him as both an artist and a cultural narrator.

His paintings have been showcased in numerous national and international exhibitions, from luxury hotels and major malls to galleries and art fairs in England and Taiwan, affirming his place in the global contemporary African art movement.
