Toy Boy

Adalberto Ferreira, known as Toy Boy, was born in 1976 in post-independence Angola. Shaped by the civil war and long-term displacement in Luanda, his life and work are deeply connected to the city’s informal settlements, where he has lived since childhood. His practice draws on recycled materials and mixed techniques, combining painting, collage, pop imagery, and ready-mades.
