From the "Babu & Cassiano" collection.

After an artistic residency at the Casa das Artes in Coimbra, BABU developed a series of works that make reference to Cassiano Branco (1897 - 1970), an architect who profoundly marked the 20th century in Portugal. In this exhibition, BABU interconnects his lifelong interests, linking Memory and Identity (emphasised in the project he has developed between Africa and Europe, called ACERTO!), affirming the freedom to intervene on the utopian dimensions always present in artists who transcend their time, opening a window of DIALOGUE with artists who motivate him to question himself and try to understand his own time.
