About The Artwork

In Catalyst, the figure emerges like a vision - draped in a veil of white, poised against a storm-lit sky where darkness meets a horizon tinged with fire. In their hands, a circular mirror reflects not clarity, but ambiguity: a blurred human form, elusive and unresolved.

The tension between the lightness of the cloth and the depth of the subject’s skin becomes a visual heartbeat - a contrast charged with emotion, history, and the complexity of seeing and being seen.

Through refined oil technique and potent symbolism, the artist weaves a meditation on duality and transformation. The subject’s gaze is unwavering - not confrontational, but searching, as if challenging us to look beyond surface, into the quiet turbulence that lives within.

The mirror is not a mere object; it is a threshold. A portal to inner reckoning.
In this haunting moment of stillness, Catalyst asks:
What lies beneath our reflection, waiting to be claimed or released?
